You will spend the day sightseeing and enjoying a guided tour. You will visit Memphis, the site believed to be the ancient capital of Egypt which reached its apogee under the kings of the Old Kingdom. You will then proceed to Sakkara, site of the famous step pyramid. The next stop will be the Great Pyramids of Giza, and then on to the Valley Temple of King Khephren and the Sphinx – a lion couchant with King’s head. After this you will visit a renowned papyrus Factory. Transfer to the Giza train station to board the sleeping train to Luxor (dinner and breakfast will be served on board).

Day 3:

Early Arrival in Luxor – you will be met and assisted by our local representatives at the Luxor train station. You will depart in luxurious, air-conditioned vehicles for a full day of touring. You will visit what has been dubbed “the Largest Open Museum in the World” – Luxor. Literally, every inch of this city is replete with ancient art and history, and the majestic views are simply mesmerizing. You will cross over the Nile to the West Bank of Luxor, the Valley of the Kings where late dynastic kings prepared rock-hewn tombs for themselves, which as a rule, kept to the same general plan.

Next on the itinerary for the Cairo & the Pyramids with Luxor Tour, you will see Madinet Habu which is composed of 4 buildings and somewhat similar to Ramesseum, but has survived the inroads of time better. On the way back to the Nile, you will view the Colossi of Memnon – two 53 foot high seated statues of Amenophis III and then on to El Deir El Bahari (The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut) which is a terrace temple, and its layout is unique in Egypt where the Temple rises with three terraces which are connected by central ramps.

You will also visit the East Bank – “The Karnak & Luxor Temples (less than 2 miles apart)”. Here you will see the Imperial Temple and the wide avenue of Sphinxes. In the evening you will transfer to Luxor train station to board the sleeping train to Cairo (dinner and breakfast served on board).

Day4:

Early arrival by train to Giza Train Station in Cairo – you will be met and assisted by our local representatives. You will begin touring with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities with over 100,000 exhibits – boasting the most comprehensive collection of Pharaonic art in the world, then on to the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, Cairo’s signature tourist attraction. After this, you will travel to old Cairo – visiting the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Virgin Church “El Moallakah”, Saint Serge Church, then proceed via the City of the Dead, and then on to the oldest bazaar in the Middle East. Established in the XVII century, the “Khan El Khalili” bazaar is an unforgettable attraction. You will return to the hotel – evening is free – overnight at the hotel in Cairo.
